Resin Bound Paving Supplier & Manufacturer — Made in Canada and USA
PurePave is a Canadian manufacturer and supplier of resin bound permeable paving for driveways, parking lots, walkways, and municipal roads. Our resin bound systems deliver a seamless, UV-stable, porous surface that drains up to 38,000 litres of water per hour per square metre — all while resisting freeze-thaw damage through independently verified Canadian winters. Over 50 natural granite colours. 10-year to lifetime warranty. AODA-compliant and supplied across Canada and the US through our certified installer network and new US Factory.

What is resin bound paving?

Resin bound paving is a permeable surface made by mixing natural aggregate (typically granite or quartz) with a clear two-part polyurethane resin, then trowel-laying the blend onto a prepared base. The result is a smooth, seamless, porous surface that water drains through — not over — eliminating puddles, reducing stormwater runoff, and avoiding the freeze-thaw cracking that destroys concrete and interlock.
PurePave systems take this European concept to the next level. Adapted for cold climates and extreme heat, developed with the National Research Council of Canada's Industrial Research program with performance testing at Ottawa University since 2017.
PurePave resin bound paving is now used for driveways, parking lots and even City Roads.
Why buy resin bound paving from a Canadian / US manufacturer

Most resin bound systems sold in North America are imported from the UK and were never engineered for Canadian / US winters. PurePave is formulated, blended, and quality-controlled in Canada and NY, with aggregate sourcing, resin chemistry, and installation specification all tuned for freeze-thaw cycles, extreme heat, road salt exposure, and snow-plow contact.
-
Made in Canada. Specified by Cities. Procurement Canada, the City of Toronto, City of Ottawa, National Research Council of Canada, are installing PurePave on federal and municipal projects.
-
Winterized. We're the first resin bound system independently tested by the University of Ottawa to show zero strength loss through freeze-thaw simulation. Since 2014.
-
Cross-border supply. Distribution and installer networks across Canada and the US — no international freight surcharge. Free Shipping on FTL orders.
-
No single-source risk. Multiple PurePave aggregate and resin factories under one manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

Does resin bound paving work in Canadian winters?
Yes. PurePave is the first resin bound system independently tested by the University of Ottawa to show no measurable strength loss through freeze-thaw cycle simulation. Snow melts approximately 50% faster than on concrete or asphalt, and the surface resists ice build-up, reducing salt requirements.
What's the difference between resin bound and resin bonded?
Resin bound fully encapsulates each aggregate particle in a two-part polyurethane matrix and is fully permeable. Resin bonded glues a single top layer of loose stone to a sealed base, is not permeable, and sheds water. PurePave is a resin bound system.
Is PurePave resin bound paving AODA compliant?
Yes. The standard PurePave finish is slip-resistant and wheelchair-accessible, and the system can be upgraded to an anti-slip specification for high-traffic commercial applications.
How much does resin bound paving cost in Canada?
All options cost more than asphalt. Cost depends on area, base condition, and granite / marble choice. For residential driveways full permeable systems are typically less expensive than interlock or high-end concrete. Resin bound overlays cost less with little base preparation required. Request a free quote for your specific project.
What's the warranty on PurePave resin bound paving?
PurePave-certified installers offer a 5 and 10-year to lifetime warranty options against cracks and weed penetration, giving homeowners and commercial property owners peace of mind.
Can PurePave resin bound paving be installed over existing concrete or asphalt?
Yes, in many cases. Our installers will assess the existing base during the quote process.
